Peter R. McDonald, PhD

Dr. Peter McDonald is the Director of the Flow Cytometry Core and has over 19 years of experience managing and supporting shared resource laboratories at the University of Kansas (Lawrence, KS) and the University of Pittsburgh (Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania). His expertise includes flow cytometry, high-throughput and high-content screening, assay development, and molecular biology techniques, alongside extensive experience with complex laboratory instrumentation, and he has co-authored more than 40 publications in the field. At the Flow Cytometry Core, Dr. McDonald oversees instrument operation and maintenance, develops and implements protocols, provides training workshops, and consults with investigators to optimize experiments.
